Peace celebrates the Sacrament of Communion every Sunday, believing that the mysterious but real presence of Christ at the Lord’s Table is crucial in weekly worship. The Eucharist, as Communion or The Lord’s Supper is sometimes called, is received at Peace ordinarily by intinction, which means coming forward to take bread to dip in the cup. Anyone, any age, who seeks Christ is welcome to receive at the communion table. | ||||||||

Peace welcomes infants, children, youth and adults to the Sacrament of Baptism conducted in a regular service of worship. Baptisms from other Christian churches (by sprinkling, pouring or immersion) are always recognized as long as the Trinitarian formula was used. With infants and children, there must be at least one Christian parent or guardian, who will promise to nurture the child in faith until he or she can profess personal faith in Christ at the time of confirmation – ordinarily at ages 14-15. Youth and adults who are ready to profess faith in Jesus Christ and commit themselves to discipleship are also welcome to be baptized. |
